Brittany Capozzi

 

Brittany Cappozi is a RYT500 and Warriors At Ease trained yoga instructor supporting WWYP’s programs in Milford, Franklin and the Blackstone Valley/Greater Milford area.

Brittany is an HR leader, English tutor, Wild Writing teacher, and 500 - Hour Certified yoga Instructor with a focus in Therapeutic Essentials. She studied Trauma-Informed Yoga under Shelly Dell (LMHC/IAYT). Brittany brought the Trauma-Informed language into her workshop “Lifting the Veil on Anxiety,” which used belly dance techniques, therapeutic writing exercises and breathwork to help tap into the parasympathetic nervous system and reduce anxiety. She also teaches Laughter Yoga and occasionally contributes to the Laughter Yoga Club led by Master Trainers Bill and Linda Hamaker. 
As a leader in holistic health, Brittany has created and taught meditation classes for the nonprofit organization Step Up For Mental Health. She also teaches a variety of classes at Curry College such as Yoga for Depression and Anxiety. 
Checking-in on the nervous system and constantly rebalancing it is a priority. Having had a neonatal stroke, Brittany understands the comfort and permission that comes with offering options for yoga shapes and breathwork when on the mat or in a chair.
